Duties
Serve as the facility's infection prevention subject matter expert by developing policies, conducting surveillance, monitoring compliance, and recommending corrective actions.
Plan and deliver infection prevention and employee health training, including orientation, annual education, and regulatory compliance topics.
Manage the Risk Management Program by conducting Root Cause Analyses, tracking Potentially Compensable Events (PCEs), and implementing patient safety improvements.
Administer the Employee Health Program by monitoring immunizations, tuberculosis screening, occupational exposures, and regulatory compliance.
Collect and analyze infection control and quality improvement data, prepare reports, and support accreditation and committee activities.
Provide direct nursing care, patient assessment, triage, and emergency interventions while adhering to infection prevention standards.
