About This Role
The Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is responsible for overseeing nursing practices and ensuring high-quality patient care. This role is ideal for experienced nursing professionals looking to lead a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
Manage the practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
Establish clinical direction of nursing care and provide clinical supervision.
Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures.
Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
Provide direction and supervision, evaluate performance, and conduct selection processes.
Actively promote staff and self-development.
Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
Approve purchases and establish or revise inventory quotes.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Experience:
Three years of recent clinical nursing experience including at least one year of healthcare management experience
Licenses & Certifications:
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred
