The Medical-Surgical Nurse Manager will join a healthcare organization known for compassionate, patient-first care and strong community support. The Medical-Surgical Unit Manager will oversee a 20-bed Med/Surg department , along with a 4-bed ICU that manages about 100 intensive-care patient days annually. The hospital provides medical-surgical inpatient care with medical, surgical, and intensive-care capabilities, supported by a 24/7 Emergency Department and Certified Primary Stroke Center. Broad surgical services include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT, and minimally invasive procedures. This close-knit community-hospital environment is especially appealing to clinicians who value personalized care, strong working relationships, and a genuine connection to the community.
The Nurse Manager, Medical-Surgical Unit will oversee approximately 60 FTEs while supporting daily operations, staffing, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, employee engagement, patient safety, and clinical outcomes. Working with hospital leadership, physicians, friendly nurses, and a diverse team of healthcare professionals, this leader will promote accountability, collaboration, and excellent bedside care. Previous nursing leadership experience is preferred, and candidates with a strong Med/Surg background are especially encouraged, critical care experience would be a plus for supporting the hospital’s ICU capabilities.
