Nurse Manager – Medical-Surgical Nursing
Montefiore Einstein is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Nurse Manager to lead Medical-Surgical Nursing operations and advance clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality outcomes. This role oversees daily operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement while ensuring efficient resource utilization and exceptional patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative nursing leader who can inspire teams, drive operational improvements, and translate organizational goals into measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Leadership: Oversee daily department operations, staff performance, clinical coverage, and resource utilization to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Partner with hospital leadership to maintain compliance with Joint Commission, NYS DOH, ACR, and other applicable standards while advancing patient safety and quality improvement.
Staff Development: Foster a culture of professional growth, clinical competency, accountability, and evidence-based practice.
Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, resolve operational challenges, and improve clinical and operational outcomes.
Collaboration & Strategic Alignment: Partner with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to strengthen teamwork and achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 5 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership or management experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Demonstrated experience in clinical quality improvement and patient experience initiatives.
Experience managing staff in a unionized environment.

Annual Base Salary Range: $160,000.00 to $190,000.00
Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 7 AM-3:30 PM
