Job Description
Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week
Title: RN - Nurse Navigator
Location: Winston-Salem North Carolina 27157

Shift Information: 7:45 AM - 4:45
Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No: Yes - Manager to conduct final interview
On Call, Call Back Requirements: None
Weekend Rotation: No
Holiday Requirements: Clinic Closed for Holidays
Floating Requirements: None
About Facility:
1 Medical Blvd. Winston-Salem, NC. Located on 7th floor of the West Ardmore Tower in the Pediatric Clinic. This is a clinic located in the WFB hospital.
Unit Information:
Beds: 24 exam rooms
Census: around 3,000 patients per month for RN Navigators
Minimum Years of Experience required:
2 years clinic experience. Would prefer candidate who has Peds, GI, and/or Pulmonary experience, but not a firm requirement.
Will you accept a first-time traveler: No
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
This position is in-basket management and phone triage. This is not an in-person, patient-facing position.
Children and adolescents up to 18 years old. This position will cover the GI and Pulmonary subspecialties
GI: constipation, reflux, hyperemesis, EOE, IBD, Crohn s, celiac, blood in stool
Pulmonary: asthma, bronchiolitis, vents/trachs, cystic fibrosis
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS
Skills required:
Phone triage for above diagnoses, in-basket management, med refills, requests for paperwork from providers, etc. These are all established patients with this clinic.
Support within the Department:
Manager/Supervisor
MAs to room patients
3 other RN Navigators in the same office
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Ambulatory EPIC - preferred
Unit specific equipment: Vital sign and EKG machine (utilized by direct patient care members), laptop, Microsoft Teams

Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
Will be partnered closely with other RN Navigators throughout contract to orient
