nPosition Summary
nnnnUnder general direction, protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevents illness and injury. Alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment. Advocates for patients and their families. Ensures all actions taken in carrying out responsibilities support patient centered care.

nnProvide fact-to-face physical assessments to wound clinic patients. Create and execute treatment plans. Document all findings in EMR. Evaluates and interprets lab results.

nUnit Specific Position Responsibilities
n
nnProvides medical services to outpatients and inpatients of Mary Greeley Medical Center including caring for children and adolescents (within scope of practice) and adults in collaboration with a physician.
n
nnAssists in development and review of guidelines, policies, and procedures.
n
nnAssists with the Coordination of Care of patients receiving nursing care through Home Health Agencies, Nursing Care Facilities and Durable Medical Equipment Agencies.
n
nnAbility to function within a variety of care locations.
n
nnProvides consultation, collaboration, marketing and education to community-based agencies.
n
nnSupervise care during Hyperbaric Oxygen administration
n
nnOther duties outside of wound care as assigned
n
nnFunctions as a member of the Mary Greeley interdisciplinary Team.
n
n nQualifications, Knowledge & Experience
nRequired Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
nnnLicensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing or has active multistate license approved by the Nurse Licensure Compact.
n
nnAchievement of Baccalaureate degree in nursing within 6 years of hire date if hired after January 1, 2014.
n
nnMaster's degree - Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.
n
nnBasic Life Support (BLS) training, or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
n
nnMandatory Reporter training or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
n
nnCompletion of 40-hour Hyperbaric Oxygen training within 6 months of hire or demonstrate successful completion of course

n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnnBaccalaureate degree in nursing.
n
nnProfessional certification in nursing specialty.
nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
n
nnProficient in communication skills.
n
nnAbility to pursue and foster a sense of team and partnership across all disciplines.

nnAbility to be self-directed, flexible, and able to adapt to change.

nnThree (3) to five (5) years of practice as an ARNP.
n
nnKnowledge of and ability to interpret and implement regulations and Federal requirements.

nnLicensed as an Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Iowa.
n
nnPossession of a current valid driver's license and must maintain eligibility for coverage under Mary Greely Medical Center's insurance policy.
