Job description
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a busy, well-established Gastroenterology practice in Ocala, Florida . This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of gastroenterologists dedicated to providing comprehensive digestive health services to the growing communities of Marion County and surrounding areas.
Position Highlights
Full-time outpatient-focused position
Join a growing and highly respected Gastroenterology team
Mix of clinic visits, hospital rounding, and inpatient consults as needed
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary team members to coordinate patient care
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide patient education
Opportunity to participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
EPIC EMR system
Candidate Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current Florida APRN license or Florida PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
National certification required
BLS certification required
Previous Gastroenterology experience
Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with supervising physicians
