Your Responsibilities
Conducting thorough patient evaluations and ordering necessary diagnostic procedures, followed by crafting personalized care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions while working closely with physicians or independently depending on your credentials
Providing education to patients and families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your professional scope
Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care
Documenting everything meticulously and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education and Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensing and Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
