nSUMMARY

nAs a Nurse Practitioner, your superior interpersonal and empathetic skills, as well as your comprehension of diagnostic procedures greatly assists you in providing medical services to ambulatory patients. The NP in this role will have his/her own patient panel.

nSTATUS: Full Time

nLOCATION: Ridgeway Internal Medicine

nDEPARTMENT: Primary Care

nSCHEDULE: Days, Monday-Friday

nATTRIBUTES

nnnAt least two (2) years of full-time clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care site required

nnCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

nnnBase guarantee for a 1 FTE is $155,000

n

nnLucrative compensation (base pay, incentive bonuses as well as quality bonus eligible)

n nPAY TRANSPARENCY

nIn addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

nRESPONSIBILITIES

nnnPatient Care. Take complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians; perform physical examinations; order laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures;

n

nnManagement & Development. reach tentative diagnosis of medical, surgical and other conditions; develop treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management; order consultations and interact with members of other specialty medical teams; assist in the collection of data for research projects

n

nnPatient Satisfaction. Interacts on a frequent, regular and daily basis with patients, family members, medical/social/public services support, regulatory agencies and/or payor agencies. Interaction and communication requires expressed empathy, understanding, problem-solving, education, information gathering, process influencing and counseling.

nnMedication & Orders. Prescribe medication, write orders, perform procedures and respond to emergency and/or immediate condition changes of acute patients.

n

nnDocumentation. Obtain complete, detailed and accurate patient histories, review patient records, perform physical exams, record all pertinent data to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis and clinical treatment plan for all assigned patients.

nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

nModerate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

nFor disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

nThe listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
