Your Responsibilities
Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic procedures, and developing tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
Empowering patients and families with insights on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
Prescribing medications and treatments as per your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care effectively
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure all-encompassing care for patients
Accurately documenting within electronic health records (EHR)
Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
Mandatory Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Illinois
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
