nLake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties including emergency services, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs.

nResponsibilities
nThe Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding.- Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.-
nPosition Highlights:
nnnSee patients 18 and older who meet Medicaid requirements and reside in St. Clair County
n
nnProvide wellness checkups, non-emergency chronic illness care, lab and radiology testing, specialist referrals
n
nnWork with services such as CMH, specialists, patient guardians, adult foster care staff
n
nnSee a high volume of patients with limited transportation, under/unemployment, mental health diagnosis, and substance use
n
n nCompensation/Benefits:
nnnPart-Time- 17 hours/week

nnMedical Malpractice including tail coverage

n nQualifications
nEducation and Work Experience
nnnMSN with specialization as an ARNP.
n
nnCurrent state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
n
nnBLS upon hire and maintain current.
n
nnOne to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
n
nnPrevious experience with electronic health record.
n
