nWork Hours: Full Time, 40 Hours; 4 10 hour days with rotating weekend coverage

n nHere's What You Need
nnn Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program required andnn
nn Master's Degree Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program requirednn
nn Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency requirednn
nn 2 years of experience as Nurse Practitioner preferrednn
nn Acute Care certification highly preferrednn
nn 1 year experience in Neuro preferrednn
nn RN - Registered Nurse upon hire requirednn
nn APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse upon hire required andnn
nn NP - Nurse Practitioner upon hire requirednn
nn BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required andnn
nn ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days preferrednn
nn Other - Must be credentialed by Medical Staff Services upon hire requirednn
n nHere's What You Will Do
nnnUtilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions
n
nnUses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings
n
nnSynthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients
n
nnCollaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care
n
nnTakes action to reduce patients risks
n
nnPerforms specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently
n
nnDemonstrates contribution to unit based programs and research strategies to monitor and continuously improve the quality of patient care
n
nnAssist in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and take actions to improve those processes
n
