Your Role in Patient Care
Carrying out extensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses collaboratively with physicians or independently as per your credentials
Providing education to patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and the management of diseases
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management for your patients
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, seamless care
Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR)
Educational Criteria
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Required
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within three months)
