Your Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and create tailored care plans
Diagnose and treat patients with acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses—in collaboration with physicians or independently based on your credentials
Provide education to patients and their families focused on prevention, health, and disease management
Prescribe medications and treatment protocols compliant with your professional scope
Engage in patient follow-up and manage chronic care
Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, holistic patient care
Document all activities meticulously in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Needed
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure them within 90 days)
