Your Key Responsibilities

Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans

Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions through collaboration with physicians or independently (depending on your credentialing)

Providing education to patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and management of illnesses

Prescribing medications and therapies as permitted by your practice scope

Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management

Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, holistic patient care

Accurately documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR)

Your Educational Background

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Michigan

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
