What Your Role Involves
Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently as credentials allow
Educating patients and families on wellness strategies, preventative measures, and chronic illness management
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
Involving yourself with patient follow-ups and chronic care management strategies
Engaging with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a total, seamless approach to patient care
Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Credentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
Essential Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state of Nevada
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or applicable specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain these within 90 days)
