What You'll Be Doing

Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies

Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, either independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentialing

Empowering patients and families with education on wellness, preventative strategies, and chronic disease management

Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your practice scope

Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management interventions

Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless and comprehensive care

Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Kentucky

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a corresponding specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure within 90 days)
