What Your Role Entails
Culminating in comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering tests, and developing personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with doctors or independently, based on your qualifications
Guiding patients and families in prevention, wellness strategies, and managing health conditions
Prescribing treatments and medications within your professional scope
Engaging in patient follow-up and the management of chronic care
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, holistic health services
Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education and Certification Needs
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
A valid Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
