Your Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, recommend diagnostic procedures, and develop custom care plans to optimize patient outcomes
Assess and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your qualifications
Educate patients and their families on preventive measures and management of health conditions
Prescribe necessary treatments and medications in accordance with your scope of practice
Engage in patient follow-ups and oversee chronic disease management strategies
Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated, holistic patient care
Maintain detailed and precise records in electronic medical systems (EMR)
Education and Certification Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
