Your Essential Responsibilities

Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care strategies

Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with supervisory physicians or autonomously, depending on your qualifications

Providing education on prevention, wellness, and management of diseases to patients and their families

Prescribing medications and therapies aligned with your professional scope

Engaging in follow-up and chronic care management for patients

Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care

Meticulously documenting patient interactions and progress in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications and Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure and Certifications

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
