Your Responsibilities Will Include
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or ongoing health issues, working alongside physicians or on your own (depending on your certifications)
Educating patients and their families about health maintenance, prevention strategies, and chronic disease management
Prescribing medications and treatments in line with your qualifications
Engaging in patient follow-up and coordination of chronic care
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
Maintaining precise electronic medical records (EMR)
Education & Credentials Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
Licenses and Certifications Required
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialization
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
