Your Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive assessments, order diagnostic tests, and tailor individualized care plans

Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your certifications

Educate patients and families regarding prevention strategies, wellness initiatives, and effective disease management

Prescribe medications and therapies in line with your practice scope

Engage in patient follow-ups and oversee chronic care management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centered care

Document patient interactions thoroughly and accurately within electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its equivalent

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure these within 90 days)
