What You'll Be Doing
Conducting thorough patient evaluations, arranging diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in partnership with physicians based on your qualifications
Empowering patients and families through education on preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management
Prescribing medications and treatments adhering to your professional scope
Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management initiatives
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, patient-centered care
Maintaining comprehensive and precise documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Wisconsin
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within the next 90 days)
