Your Role and Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized treatment plans
Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions collaboratively with physicians, or independently (subject to credentialing)
Teaching patients and families about prevention, overall wellness, and chronic illness management
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your practice scope
Engaging in follow-up care and managing chronic health issues
Working with multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, comprehensive care
Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical record systems (EMR)
Qualifications Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
Licenses and Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensing in North Carolina
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to procure them within 90 days)
