Your Core Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic services, and developing personalized healthcare plans
Diagnosing and treating a spectrum of acute and chronic health conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians or autonomously (as allowed by your credentials)
Guiding patients and their families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice parameters
Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
Documenting accurately within electronic medical record systems
Education Standards
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certification Requirements
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
