Your Responsibilities
Undertaking thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized treatment plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in collaboration with physicians or independently (according to credentialing)
Educating patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective disease management strategies
Prescribing medications and therapies within the defined scope of your practice
Engaging in patient follow-up and providing chronic care management
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee an integrated, comprehensive approach to care
Carefully documenting all interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Academic Credentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Current certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or ability to obtain these within 90 days)
