Your Role and Responsibilities
Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in partnership with physicians or independently (based on your credentials)
Providing education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies as permitted by your practice scope
Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, comprehensive care
Accurately documenting all care activities within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capacity to obtain within 90 days)
