Responsibilities You Will Undertake
Perform thorough patient evaluations, prescribe appropriate diagnostic tests, and create personalized treatment plans
Identify and manage acute and chronic health issues, collaborating with physicians or independently based on your credentials
Instruct patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and health maintenance
Prescribe required medications and treatments within your legal remit
Engage in patient follow-up and chronic disease management initiatives
Work hand-in-hand with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic care
Accurately document all encounters within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
Mandatory Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to complete these within 90 days)
