Your Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and developing tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses alongside physicians or independently (as per your qualifications)
Educating both patients and their families on disease prevention, well-being, and management techniques
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-ups and efficient chronic care management
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care
Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic health records (EHR)
Requirements for Education
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
Licensure and Certification Requirements
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
