Your Role in the Community
Conducting in-depth patient assessments, coordinating diagnostic evaluations, and creating personalized care regimens
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness strategies, and disease management
Prescribing necessary medications and treatments aligned with your practice scope
Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management initiatives
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to guarantee comprehensive care
Maintaining detailed and precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualification Criteria
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensure and Certifications Needed
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) credentials (or ability to obtain within three months)
