Your Role's Core Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, instructing diagnostic tests, and creating individualized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently as credentialed
Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies in compliance with your practice scope
Engaging in follow-up care and the management of chronic conditions
Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
Maintaining detailed and accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to secure them within 90 days
