Your Role and Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
Providing education to patients and families on preventive measures, wellness, and chronic disease management
Prescribing treatments and medications within your professional capacity
Engaging in chronic disease management and patient follow-ups
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive and cohesive care
Recording detailed and accurate information in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensing and Certifications Required
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Utah
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
