Your Responsibilities
Performing comprehensive assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations, and creating tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses independently or in partnership with physicians (depending on credentialing)
Educating patients and their families on preventive care, wellness, and disease management strategies
Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management initiatives
Partnering with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee holistic, integrated care
Documenting meticulously and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certification Requirements
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
