Key Responsibilities
Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored healthcare plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in collaboration with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
Offering education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
Prescribing the appropriate medications and therapies post-evaluation
Managing follow-ups and ongoing care for chronic conditions
Working closely within interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, all-encompassing patient care
Keeping meticulous and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within three months)
