Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient evaluations, initiate diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care strategies

Diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions, working collaboratively with physicians or independently based on your credentials

Provide education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and management of diseases

Prescribe treatments and medications, observing your scope of practice

Engage in patient follow-ups and manage chronic care effectively

Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centric care

Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR)

Required Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Required Credentials

Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire these within 90 days)

Distinguishing Skills

Excellent clinical skills complemented by a caring approach to patient interaction

Strong communication abilities with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting

Proficient in using EMR systems and comfortable with telehealth technologies

A collaborative spirit and commitment to evidence-based practices
