Key Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing customized care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions autonomously or through collaboration with fellow providers
Instructing patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
Administering medications and therapies in accordance with practice protocols
Engaging in chronic care management and patient follow-up strategies
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive and cohesive care delivery
Maintaining detailed and precise electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensure and Certification Requirements
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of North Carolina
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
