Your Key Responsibilities
Performing thorough assessments of patients, coordinating necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with other healthcare professionals or independently, depending on your credentials
Providing education to patients and their families focused on wellness, prevention, and disease management
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within the legal scope of practice
Engaging in ongoing follow-up and management of chronic conditions
Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, integrated care
Maintaining accurate documentation through electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Mandatory Certifications
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or commitment to secure within 90 days)
