What You'll Be Doing
Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary tests, and designing personalized treatment plans
Making diagnoses and managing acute or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently based on your credentials
Providing education to patients and families about prevention strategies, wellness, and effective disease management
Prescribing medications and treatments within the defined scope of practice
Engaging in ongoing patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive and efficient patient care
Maintaining precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduated from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Indiana
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty credential
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
