Your Responsibilities

Performing in-depth patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating customized care plans

Diagnosing and treating various acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, either collaboratively with physicians or independently when permitted

Educating patients and their families about prevention strategies, wellness, and effective disease management

Prescribing medications and therapeutic measures within your realm of practice

Participating actively in follow-up care and ongoing management of chronic conditions

Teaming up with interdisciplinary members to provide seamless, holistic care to patients

Maintaining detailed and accurate electronic health records (EMR)

Educational Background

Achieved a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licensing and Certifications Required

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a specialty equivalent

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
