Your Daily Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing unique care strategies
Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently as credentials allow
Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care oversight
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, patient-centered care
Meticulously documenting all interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required
A degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is necessary
Licenses and Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or able to obtain within three months)
