Your Responsibilities

Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostics, and devising personalized care plans

Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials

Educating patients and their families on wellness, prevention strategies, and chronic disease management

Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope

Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care supervision

Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care

Accurately documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Wisconsin

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
