Your Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic tests, and devising personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions, either collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
Guiding patients and families in understanding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies within your certification limits
Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic conditions
Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless, comprehensive care
Thoroughly documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
Essential Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alabama
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications upon hiring or within 90 days of employment
