What You Will Be Doing

Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care plans

Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, either independently or in collaboration with physicians, as per your credentials

Providing education to patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and effective management of health conditions

Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols

Engaging in patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions

Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care

Maintaining precise and detailed records within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
