Job description
A New York City healthcare network is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing OB/GYN team.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Days or Nights
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, weekdays and weekends
Hours: 7am to 7:30pm or 7pm to 7:30am
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Perform postpartum assessments following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Manage suture removal, dressing changes, and incision evaluations
Assess vaginal lacerations and sutures
Provide discharge, contraceptive, and breastfeeding counseling
Review lab values and address acute postpartum concerns, including hypertension, postpartum hemorrhage, chest pain, shortness of breath, presyncope, and syncope
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of recent OB postpartum experience
Master's Degree
Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
Board certification
BLS certification
DEA registration
Desired Skills: ACLS certification
Experience in postpartum and obstetrics/gynecology inpatient care
Familiarity with Epic
Experience with postpartum complication management
