Job description
Nurses Etc. Staffing is seeking a qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide healthcare services at Camp Pendleton, California .
Position Requirements
Master's degree in Nursing.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE .
Current PMHNP-BC certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) .
Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
Completion of 30 hours of pharmacology education for advanced nursing practice .
Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 2 years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, including prescribing psychiatric medications.
Responsibilities
Provide nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
Diagnose, treat, and counsel patients within applicable protocols, clinical practice guidelines, and Nurse Practice Acts.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate.
Promote preventive care, health maintenance, and positive health behaviors.
Provide patient education and counseling.
Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, continuing education, quality improvement, and safety activities.
Provide evidence-based education and training to staff as appropriate.
Follow infection-control procedures and universal precautions.
