What You'll Be Doing
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses independently or alongside physicians (as per your credentials)
Providing education to patients and families on health maintenance, prevention, and treatment plans
Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your practice scope
Engaging in chronic care management and patient follow-up
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, interconnected patient care
Keeping detailed and precise records in electronic medical systems (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
