Job description
A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a promising opportunity with their Cardiology team at their outpatient practice.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Outpatient
Responsibilities: Obtain and document patient histories related to chief complaints and visit reasons
Perform physical examinations, evaluate patients, and document pertinent findings
Provide care for adult patients with cardiovascular complaints and conditions
Conduct and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing
Order and interpret laboratory tests and other appropriate examinations
Diagnose cardiovascular conditions, develop treatment plans, and assess response to therapy
Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program registered by the New York State Education Department
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner treating Cardiovascular conditions
Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved accrediting body such as ANCC or AANP
Current, unencumbered New York State RN license
Active or eligible Medicare/Medicaid enrollment
Current ACLS certification
Strong oral and written communication skills
Comfort with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
Desired Skills: Experience with cardiac stress testing
Background in complex cardiac imaging
Experience collaborating with cardiology physicians in an outpatient setting
Experience in preventive maintenance and chronic disease management for cardiac patients
