nAbout the Opportunity

nKARE CENTER in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care including medical and psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education. You will collaborate closely with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, integrated, patient-centered care across a diverse patient population.

nKey Responsibilities

nConduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history, physical examinations, mental status assessments, and risk evaluations.

nDiagnose and manage a range of acute, chronic, and psychiatric conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians.

nDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy, referrals, and community resources.

nPrescribe and manage medications, monitoring patient response and adjusting treatment plans as clinically indicated.

nProvide patient education and psychoeducation to patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment.

nConduct follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress, medication efficacy, and overall well-being.

nAssess and manage urgent clinical situations, coordinating appropriate levels of care as needed.

nMaintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

nParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

nQualifications & Requirements

nMaster of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.

nActive Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and NP certification in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).

nDEA registration (or eligibility to obtain) for controlled substance prescribing.

n1-3 years of clinical experience in primary care, behavioral health, or integrated care preferred.

nStrong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.

nProficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
