Your Role in Patient Care
Conducting thorough patient assessments, initiating diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses both in collaboration with physicians and independently, based on your credentials
Educating patients and their families about wellness, disease prevention, and management
Prescribing treatments and medications according to your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care effectively
Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, patient-centered care
Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Essential Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
