What You'll Be Doing
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and devising tailored care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic ailments independently or in sync with physicians (depending on credentialing)
Instructing patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and management
Prescribing necessary medications and treatments within your professional scope
Participating in ongoing patient follow-up and managing chronic cases
Cooperating with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care
Documenting patient information meticulously within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Florida
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or readiness to obtain within 90 days)
